The largest annual gathering of twins in the world.
In 1817, identical twins Aaron and Moses Wilcox purchased a plot of land in Ohio not far from Akron. They settled there, donated 20 $ for the new school and six acres for a public square. The town was named Twinsburg in their honor.
The twins festival opened its doors for the first time 1976 with 37 pairs of twins. Over the course of the years the attendance has increased to thousands of twins, triplets, quadruplets and more, arriving each August to partecipate in the parade, various contests, twins talent show, share experiences, stories and so much more!
Each year a pair of Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses are selected for the festival to ride in a special vehicle near the front of the parade and sit at the review stand at the end of the parade.
